One important thing is as an entrepreneur you often have to present your idea at several places. Understanding and creating a good presentation is hence of utmost importance. So here are some Do's and Don'ts that you must keep in mind while making a presentation.

The Do's and Don'ts of a presentation

Do - Connect with the audience

Whatever you say should directly connect to your audience and their thought. Preferably you can build a story that revolves around your product and audiences lives.

Don't - Go off topic

While you narrate a story or give an instance, make sure you do not go off topic and reach too far away from the main element.

Do - Explain the slides

Understand the meaning of what's written and take the effort to explain your audience

Don't - Read from a Slide

This can be too monotonous and also speaks about how much you comprehend a topic and are capable enough to explain it. Learn how to be an entrepreneur, by speaking your thought without referring to material.

Do - Be Consistent

Your entire presentation should have a synergy and be consistent. Let each part together flow smoothly to the next part forming a solid narrative till the end.

Don't - Break the Harmony

Just as said earlier the story should flow neatly. Do not jumble up parts and go back and forth to confuse the audience. Do not break the harmony!

Do - Simple Bar Graphs or Charts

Statistics are better understood when represented visually through pie charts or bar graphs. They catch the eye and are easy to comprehend.

Don't - Complicate data or statistics

Tons of data on a slide is too much to read and may surpass anyone's comprehension. Keep your data brief and represent your statistics smarty.

Do - Know the Device

Electronic devices can surprise you at any point. Understand the working of your computer and always have a Plan 'B' for any glitches.

Don't - Avoid any technicality

Do not trust your device to an extent that it breaks down at the wrong time. Keep the necessities handy to avoid any technical issues.
